What is a Zine?

Zines (like magazines, but better) originate from underground and DIY publishing movements, often created by small groups passionate about a particular topic. They're typically handmade, self-published booklets that cover everything from art and music to politics and personal stories and offer a raw, unfiltered voice outside of mainstream media.

Echoes in the Static is the blog/zine/thing that documents the ideas, people, stories, and happenings at The Lab. This publication is hosted on a DIY vps instance running open source hosting services.

The publication is a community effort and we hope to highlight the voices from within the Lab. If you're a lab co-op member and have something to say reach out to MoonKaptain and he'll help set you up as an author.
